Valentia Coffee, LLC.
It’s about to get better.
Valentia Coffee, LLC is a specialty coffee roastery and café in Madison, WI. They serve the University of Wisconsin Madison’s campus a range of locally and internationally sourced specialty coffee and brunch items daily.
After initially meeting with client, we determined our goal was fourfold;
Avenues to Revenue; Expand Valentia’s Online Ordering services, adding new features to the site including In-Store pickup for menu items as well as retail coffee offerings for shipping.
Updating Copy; Updating the site’s language to better communicate Valentia’s “why” and price-value through detailed descriptions of processes and partnerships.
Design; A non-stock site with updated visual media, fonts and color palette reflecting the physical location’s inviting and robust atmosphere.
UX; An intuitive online experience that focuses on customer ease of use. Calls to action throughout encouraging page-to-page exploration and multiple paths to purchase.

CTAs throughout site helped shoppers navigate the sales funnel and path to purchase.
Updating Copy.
We came up with the slogan “It’s about to get better” while on a call with the client, who noted that this phrase left many returning customer’s mouths.
This became the cornerstone of the redesign from a copy perspective and a launching point for us to mirror the experience of Valentia’s brick-and-mortar location to the online space through friendly language and robust visuals.
We added an “Our Partners” page to further highlight Valentia’s key brand values and commitment to delivering an excellent experience to customers through the highest quality ingredients.



We updated product descriptions throughout the site to give context to the origins of Valentia’s retail offerings.
Design.
We partnered with a local photographer to highlight the atmosphere of Valentia’s physical location throughout the website as well as add updated product images. Fonts, gradients and additional visual media were also added to further create a non-stock site that is both visually appealing and easy to navigate.


UX.
We added calls to action and copy aimed at encouraging additional site exploration and funneling customers towards product and ordering pages.
